Well, Groundhog Day 2008 is finally upon us, and there are some things that you should probably know:

• From the House of the Dead, the opera that Tristan is a part of, opens tonight at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. Tickets are on sale right now.
• Wiarton Willie did not see his shadow, so spring is here right now.
• You can download the classic Bill Murray film Groundhog Day for $4.99 right now.

What could we possibly be talking about?

After two years of not bothering to figure out how to configure collectiveproductions.com to host blogs, we availed of the services of our unpaid web technician Dan Misener and now here it is, the Collective Productions blog. Amazing.

As you may have noticed, we’ve resurrected the Jim Dupree: Enthusiast blog, complete with brand new versions of all 30 original episodes, which are slightly bigger, slightly better looking, and properly cropped (in the case of the widescreen episodes). You can now also stream the episodes directly from the page, thanks to the setup at Blip.tv, which now hosts all of our video files. The crummy looking YouTube files are a thing of the past. All except for this one, of course:

There are new things on the way, and even though we’ve said this several times over the past year or so, we really mean it this time because we’re actually in the middle of doing them. Sooner or later we’re bound to tell you what at least one of them is. Until then, just keep watching that YouTube video and marveling at the awesome harmonies.
